Axel is a handsome, adult black kitty with a shinny, silky coat that's sure to make him a cuddly delight once he feels comfortable. He’s a sweet boy at heart, and although he’s feeling a bit overwhelmed right now, he has so much love to offer. Axel enjoys attention, especially ear scratches and tasty treats, and he’s got a soft spot for gentle pets once he feels at ease.
Sadly, Axel was returned to us after being adopted as a kitten, when his human parents became ill and could no longer care for him. Because of this, Axel can be a bit cautious and may hiss when you first approach him. But don’t worry — it's just fear from his past experiences, not aggression. After a brief hiss, he’ll likely bonk your hand and happily settle into your lap for some quiet companionship.
Axel is looking for a calm, loving home where he can take his time to adjust and feel secure. He would do best in a home with one other cat and no exposure to dogs or small children. While he spends a lot of time hiding right now, we’re confident that with patience and understanding, Axel will blossom into a confident and affectionate companion.
