Adopt
The Cat House on the Kings doesn't only take in surrendered cats, we also actively rescue cats and kittens from local animal shelters, restore them to health, and find them loving homes. We rescue and place dozens of cats and kittens every year. Oh, and we don't just rescue cats — we take in puppies and dogs too!
Listed below is our Fall Collection of cats and dogs available for adoption. For more information and photos on a specific critter, and to fill out an online adoption application, click on the critter's picture or the MORE button.
If you cannot decide which critter would be the best match for your family, just fill out a general cat or dog adoption application and one of our adoption coordinators will be happy to help match you with someone suitable.

Her name is Justice. I have had her for about 5-6 weeks. I found her wandering in my neighborhood. The Vet checked and she had previously been spayed. He also thinks she is around 4 years old. She is completely blind and tested negative for feline leukemia. She is a very SWEET cat. She would be best placed in a home with no other animals unless the animal was VERY relaxed and not territorial. She get's very nervous since she can't see them. She likes to play, climbs up on the bed and loves to snuggle. She would be a GREAT companian to someone. Please contact Jennifer @ jennifer_dooms@yahoo.com or 559-360-0731 |

Pogo
Pogo's name says it all! He bounces off the walls, plays until he drops, but after all that, he loves a lap to crash on. Pogo is good with other cats and dogs.....the ideal pet. SPLASH
Splash was found starving to death by a very kind unemployed man with a house full of rescue animals. She was nearly 4 months old when she was found. He believes she was dumped at a nearby church. He nursed Splash back to health with lots of food and love. Because of his precarious financial situation, he was unable to add her to his household. He contacted Lynea at The Cat House who referred her to the Petco team. He walked her to Petco where we were unable to resist the man's tearful pleas to take her as she would be taken to the SPCA otherwise. She was immediately spayed and given her vaccines. She does love to nibble (a bit forcefully) on fingers, but does LOVE people.

Not Ready to Adopt?
Foster a Kitten!
It's kitten season, and we're swamped with kittens we've rescued from local shelters. Many are very young — too young to be adopted — and need lots of TLC and handling to bond with humans.
Never done this before? Don't worry! We'll provide all the stuff you need to get started, and we'll be in contact so that you'll know what to do, and you'll have a good experience. And who knows, maybe you'll bond with your kitten, and end up adopting him!
Sponsor a Cat
We know that some of our cats, for whatever reasons — old age, trauma, or medical problems — will never be adopted and will spend their lives here. We cherish these kitties and always want to be able to provide the best for them. We promised them that they would never again have to worry about having enough food to eat, a warm bed in which to snuggle, or a caring human to give them lots of love and to take care of their health.
We also realize that some of you may not be able to adopt one of our cats but would like to be able to help them out. That's why we have the SPONSOR-A-CAT program. You can become a sponsor for just $15 a month.
Your donation helps pay for the basic needs of each cat during its stay with us. You can either select a cat to sponsor, or email us and let us select one for you. You will receive a photo and the story of your sponsored cat, and are welcome (and encouraged!) to visit us and "your" cat as often as you can. The cats do remember frequent visitors, and enjoy the individual love and attention their sponsors provide.
Available Puppies and Dogs

Brandy
Brandy is half Rottweiler and half English Mastiff. He's a big, mushy dog around people he knows, but very shy and aloof around strangers. He's good with cats and small dogs. At about 200 pounds, Brandy is a very big, very strong boy. He's house broken and crate trained. He needs a strong-willed owner who knows how to handle a very large head-strong dog. With never-ending energy, he will need much exercise. He can sit and lay down and walks like an angel on the leash. Brandy is located in New York, but the owner will find transport to get him almost anywhere he would be safe and loved.

Buddy
This little guy is so adorable! He was brought to us with a whole group of puppys from a kill shelter a few months ago. He is very sweet and loves attention. Buddy loves to play with other dogs and cats, too! He would make the perfect pet in any home. Wouldn't you love for him to be YOUR new "Buddy?"

Ellie Mae
Ellie Mae is a breath of fresh air! She is adorable and so full of energy. Ellie Mae would make a great companion and playmate for just about anyone. She really wants a home of her own.

Feather
Not really sure what this little puppy is. He's very small, about 5 pounds soaking wet. He has wirey hair, small like a mini Schnauzer and mini chihuahua mix. Schnauhuahua is our next bet. Someone dumped him and his siblings on the side of the road when he was no bigger than a rat. After being raised with cats and other dogs, this little puppy will make a loving addition to just about any home.

Moe
Little Moe and his siblings were rescued from death row at a local kill shelter. All have found new homes except Moe. He is a sweet dog that gets along well with cats and other dogs. Adoption fee for Moe is $100.00.

Pretty
This beautiful girl will make the perfect pet in any household! She is shy at first but then so sweet once she warms up to you. She loves to be rubbed on her little belly and is the perfect lap dog. She gets along great with other dogs and cats, too! She was adopted once but her owners changed their minds and brought her back the next day. We would love for her to find her forever home and to be given a chance with a wonderful family.

Sammi
This little girl, or should I say big girl, deserves a home of her very own. She is only 8 months old but she is a very big puppy. She jumps on you with her front paws and if she could, she would sit on your lap like she was a tiny lap dog.
Lynea was helping her previous owner fix her and get her adopted and when it came time for them to pick her up from the vet and keep her until she recovered from her surgery, they never showed up. They abandoned her at the vet's office. It happens alot and she doesn't deserve it.
She is very friendly and has so much energy. Sammi needs to go to a home with lots of space and can run around. She gets along well with other dogs and seems to be okay with cats, too. Please give this beautiful baby a chance!

Tug
Tug is a beautiful pet-quality Boxer mix. She's friendly and loving, gets along with cats as well as other dogs and would make a great companion animal. Tug needs a home with lots of room to run and play, but she also needs to be allowed into the house where she can curl up with her new owners. Tug must receive lots of attention.
